The general store would have several money bowls on the counter. Each money bowl was square and had a hole in it about 2 inches deep. They were black and sometimes blue, and were made of wood.

These are pictures of baseball gloves and equipment from the 1926 Holman's Catalog. Baseball gloves have changed a lot since back then; now, we have different colours and different shapes. Back then, a normal glove would be hard to use because you would have to make fist when the ball was coming; a fielder's glove looked like a glove you'd wear in the winter.

This is a picture of an Island champion hockey team. The skates they wore were sold in the general store. The skates weren't that safe because there was no ankle support. I wouldn't want to be a goalie, because there was very little padding in the equipment.
