1900 PEI Train
Submitted by dustins on Wed, 12/12/2007 - 17:44.
This is a picture of a Prince Edward Island train leaving one of the many train stations on Prince Edward Island. PEI got their trains from Britain. Because of that, PEI trains used the narrow tracks that Britain used, not the wider tracks that the rest of Canada used. This was unfortunate because when PEI became part of Canada, it had to widen the gauge from narrow gauge to normal gauge.
