Hat Box

The hat box was an oval shaped box that you would put your top hat in. The hat box had a leather outside with a cotton inside, and it also had a leather strap with a brass buckle. You could usually buy hat boxes in the general store. Storekeepers stored the hat box in the general store either on the wall or on the floor. The hat box was used in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
