Baseball Supplies

In the 1900's, baseball players had pretty much the same baseball supplies that we do now, but the fielders' gloves looked more like our regular winter gloves. Players wore metal cleats that had three spikes on the heel of the foot. The cost of baseball equipment ranged from about 20 cents for a cheap baseball to as expensive as $7.50 for a good catcher's glove. Now, baseball supplies are more expensive because the gloves have more padding and are made with a web that makes catching the ball easier.
