P.W Turner with Horse and Sleigh

Percy W. Turner with horse and sleigh in front of the Bank of New Brunswick, O'Leary, ca. 1908.

This photo is of P.W Turner with a horse and a sleigh. He is riding in the sleigh. My guess is that he probably owned the sleigh, too.

The sleigh's purpose is for transportation in the wintertime. As you can see in this photo, P.W Turner is riding in the sleigh. This sleigh was both popular and common, in the wintertime at least. You couldn't use a sleigh in the summer or autumn.

The sleigh is made out of wood and some metal. The reins are probably made out of leather and a little bit of metal.

This sleigh was used around the 1900's. You could most likely buy a sleigh today. It might not be the same as the one in the photo, but that's because that's an older model. You could probably get nicer, bigger and possibly safer sleighs today. Back then, the sleighs were used mainly for transportation and such. Nowadays, we may use sleighs for entertainment, and possibly transportation.

I'm not entirely sure where this particular sleigh was made, but I'm guessing it was made somewhere on Prince Edward Island. I've seen sleigh prices range from $12.00 to $40.00 and more. I'm not sure how much this particular sleigh cost, though.

The sleigh fits into daily life because it was used for transportation in the season of winter.
