Drug Stores Back Then

Interior of Two Macs Drugstore, ca. 1915. Image depicts five women standing in front of a counter in the store. All women are wearing hats and overcoats. The woman on the far right appears to be holding a cutout sign for Black Cat Cigarettes. This picture shows some people in the drug store buying some goods. Back then, if a person didn't have enough money, the person would trade, say, some milk for some eggs. Nowadays, stores only accept money. Back in those days, people didn't earn nearly as much money as we do today. We also have way different food and goods today.

People outside of town would travel to the drugstore by horse and buggy or carriage.
