This Holman's Catalog page shows luggage, including a leather club bag with double handles. This type of bag has two sizes. The smaller size is 18 inches and is $12.00. The larger one is 20 inches and is $13.50. You could buy this bag from a Holman's Catolog or get a similar one at the store. These prices would be considered today to be very little money, but back then, most people would have to save up a lot of money to buy one of these bags. The catalogue description says that this bag is made from "good quality black walrus grain covered with a brass frame and a brass lock over the opening. It also has high quality leather with two pockets on the inside." You could buy this bag in 1926. The bag would be used as hand luggage, to carry clothing and toiletries on a short journey.
