Beer Brothers

This full colour architectural plan shows the front elevation of a store for W. W. Beer, Queen Street, Charlottetown, 1888. Plan by Phillips and Chappell. This picture shows a three-story building plan for the W. W. Beer store from about the late 1800s or early 1900s. It's pretty big and it is a big brand name; Beer Brothers showed up in the paper a lot. The architects planned to build this store on PEI. The plan had most of the calculations on it. It would have been made of stone and wood, with glass for the windows. To build it today would cost a lot of money, but back then, it would have been cheaper. The building plan model said the store was to be on Queen Street, Charlottetown, PEI.
