The Bicycle Built for One

Advertisement for Columbia bicycles sold by Geo. J. Rogers. Appeared in the Guardian, 2 April 1895, page 2.The bicycle built for one was built for only one rider. It was faster than all the other bikes made from 1875 to 1900.

This bike, the Columbia, was sold by Geo. J. Rogers. Most of the bikes you see today are for one rider. This picture is from the newspaper, the Guardian, from 1895.
