The chair that she is standing beside is a rocking chair. She is standing on a bear rug in front of a vase with a plant in it. She is not smiling because it would take too long to take the picture. Mrs. Newbery is wearing a long dress, and there is a flower on her right side. She is wearing a type of collar with a brooch. This picture is from 1900. Mrs.Newbery probably got the fabric for her dress from a general store and either made the dress herself or had it made by a dressmaker.
