Double Bladed Jack Knife

Holman's Fall and Winter Catalog, No.15 1916. Image depicts page 99 and shows a selection of scissors razors and pocket knives.
Double bladed jack knives were sold in the general store and in Holman's Catalog in the 1900's. Men and boys used them to cut rope and other things. This knife was pearl-coloured and made of stainless steel and metal. It looked like pocket knives do today. It cost 40 cents, which wasn't a lot of money back then. If a boy wanted to buy a knife, this was an inexpensive one.
