Bolt Action Shotgun

This is a picture of a shot gun from the 1926 Holman's Catalog. It was a 12 gauge bolt shot gun. The catalogue describes the gun as "a hard hitter, having long range with perfect hang balance. The 32 inch blued steel barrel is of best steel and is fitted with the quick acting positive bolt action; the walnut stock is fitted with pistol grip and is oil finished. These guns were imported from England and the stock is limited. Order one of these reliable guns now at $8.50." Hunters would use these shotguns to hunt for food, and farmers would use them for killing coyotes that were trying to kill the farm animals.
