This book (Notebook of Recipes and Remedies) says that in the early 1900's, many people believed that you could cure cancer. This book tells you to put sticking plaster over the cancer with a circular piece cut out of the center that's a little larger than the cancer, so that the cancer and the healthy skin next to it are exposed.
