This picture shows a man and a woman in a sleigh. In the background, there is a big brown house and some really big trees. You can tell it is winter because of the white snow on the ground. Also, the sleigh doesn't have wooden wheels; it has sleigh runners instead. Sleigh runners are big metal rods that swerve up, and they are pretty fancy. They are a lot easier to ride on the snow than wheels because they are nice and smooth on the bottom. Nowadays, we would just have winter tires on our cars.

This picture shows a horse-drawn sleigh. I think the people on the sleigh are probably going for a ride! The picture was taken in 1890. The Blacksmith would have made the horse-shoes for the horse and maybe some parts of the harness.

This picture is about a train. The train has many people inside, and it's snowing now. This picture was taken in 1910.

This is a photo of two men digging a train out of the snow. This was a very hard job to do, to dig out a train using only your hands and shovels, but in the present day, there are plows to do that for us. (Some trains back then also had plows.)
