Ladies' Hats

Back in the 1900's, ladies would often wear hats. Hats were fairly expensive. For that reason, a lady wouldn't buy a new hat for every season. Instead, she might just buy a new ribbon for it. Ladies would wear their hats to special occasions, such as weddings or church.

Dress Materials
Submitted by mischat on Thu, 11/08/2007 - 14:57.Holman's Catalog from 1925 is selling wool and silks, which were used to make dresses. The people who would have made the dresses would have been tailors, women and dressmakers. The prices range from 69 cents to $4.50 per yard for the silks and from $2.15 to $4.00 per yard for the wool.
